Upset you didn’t get a ticket to Electric Picnic or didn’t manage to get to Body & Soul? Fear not! There’s hundreds of other Irish festivals and I put a list together of the music festivals that stand out to me. There’s a mix between lesser known festivals and well known and there’s something to suit all music tastes. This is not a sponsored post and I put it together because I love music festivals!
Date: Friday 24th June to Sunday 26th June
Location: Bundoran, Co. Donegal

Great mix of acts including up and coming bands and popular music acts. Headline acts for sunday is Tinie Tempah and Ham Sandwich.
Date: Friday 1st of July to Sunday 3rd of July
Location: Tullamore, Co. Offaly
Current Ticket Availability & Price: Weekend Camping 134, Weekend No Camping 115, Day Pass 70.45
Unique festival on the grounds of Charleville Castle in Tullamore. Ticket holders get to visit the castle and walk the grounds.There’ll be music along with workshops, performances and exhibitions. Headline acts include Caribou, Jurassic 5 and Villagers. I personally haven’t heard of these acts but it sounds like a fun festival all the same.
Dublin City Block Party
Date: Saturday 2nd of July and Sunday 3rd of July
Current Ticket Availabilty and Price: Weekend 74.50, Day Pass 39.50
This is a very reasonably priced festival with dance, pop, electronic music and DJs. The headline acts include Kelis and Dusky.
Date: Friday 15th of July to Sunday 17th of July
Location: Marlay Park
Current Ticket Availability & Price: Weekend 159.50, Day Pass 64.50
This is one not to be missed. It’s a music festival full of different types of music. The headline acts are Kendrick Lamar, Major Lazer and The National but there’s so many other amazing acts.
Date: Friday 22nd of July to Sunday 24th of July
Location: Blessington Lakes, Wicklow

This is a festival with all types of music from up and coming acts. To be honest I don’t know any of them but I don’t think it matters. The festival is on in one of the nicest locations in Ireland and that has to count for something.
Indiependence Music Festival
Date: Friday 29th of July to Sunday 31st of July
Locations: Mitchelstown, Cork
Current Ticket Availability & Price: Weekend Pass 119
As the name might suggest, this is a festival full of Indie music. Headline acts include Editors, BellX1, The Kooks, Ash and Walking on Cars.
Date: Thursday 25th of August and Friday 26th of August
Current Ticket Availability & Price: Day Pass £49.50
There’s some great acts playing including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fall Out Boy, Avicii and Duke Dumont
