April Beauty Hits & Misses
Beauty hits & misses are my favourite posts to read and videos to watch. I think it’s always interesting to compare the products you love and the products that didn’t work for you with others. I hope you enjoy reading my April beauty hits & misses!
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes in shade Committed
This is the perfect liquid lipstick! I can literally wear it everyday without my lips drying out. It’s a great shade for all skin tones because it’s neutral and goes with so many makeup looks.
I’m really enjoying using this product. I’m very used to a matte look and this product is easing me into a more dewy look. If you love a glow but you’re on a budget then you’ll love this product too. It’s illuminating properties can give a natural glow or be built up to a full on disco ball.
Estée Lauder Double Wear Concealer
I’ve been using this concealer for about 2 years. I tried it out because I love the double wear foundation so much. It didn’t disappoint. It’s perfect for those that want to highlight using a concealer with great coverage. I know that Goss Makeup Artist is a big fan and I can see why. I always wear this for nights out or events when I need a product I can rely on.
Real Techniques Eyeshadow Shading Brush
I’ve used this little brush every single day since buying it. It’s super soft and just the perfect shape for the crease of my eye.
Unani Micellar Water
This is now one of my favourite micellar waters. It didn’t irritate my skin like most others and it removed my make up easily.
I love this blush so so much! It is excellent quality for such an affordable price. I keep trying others and then going back to this one so I definitely need to pick up some more colours.
When I was getting ready for a night out recently I couldn’t find my favourite MAC Violetta so in searching for this I found my Wet N Wild Megalast in Sugar Plum. I’m so glad I did because I forgot just how long lasting they are. These are so affordable and great quality for the price.
In LOVE with this mascara! I want it to last forever. It’s my new holy grail for making my lashes look super long. This fans out my lashes which makes my eyes appear bigger.
Beauty Miss List
L’Oreal Age Perfect Anti-Fatigue Toner
I simply hate the smell. It doesn’t irritate my skin but the perfume smell really puts me off using it. It’s a shame because I’d probably like it if it wasn’t for this.
This foundation did have great coverage but the reason I won’t buy it is that it sticks to any dry patches. This is my ultimate pet peev. I personally don’t see this working for people with dry skin.
Australis Velourlips in shade Hon-O-Loo-Loo
I really love the colour I bought but as soon as I put it on I could see every line in my lips. It was also very drying too. It’s a real shame because look how pretty it is.
