As you probably know by now, I absolutely love face masks. I especially love Lush face masks so when I seen their new Rosy Cheeks mask I obviously had to get it. I’ve dry and often sensitive skin but I was told in Lush that this will suit every skin type.
‘Find the happiness you seek by cleansing cheek to cheek with this gorgeously soothing fresh mask. A simple blend of kaolin, calamine and Turkish rose oil to delicately calm the skin and restore balance. Whether you’re feeling hot and bothered or just fancy showering your complexion with roses, cleansing calamine and kaolin will gently remove dirt while exquisite rose oil nourishes and tones your face. Smooth a generous layer of this mask over your skin and relax for 10-15 minutes, allowing the ingredients to get to work, before rinsing. Uncover calm, matte skin which says you’ve been kissed by a rose.’
The first thing I noticed about the mask is the scent. I LOVE the smell of roses and my favourite perfume is Chloe. If you hate the smell of roses then I wouldn’t buy this mask. I find the scent feminine and relaxing.
As this is a fresh mask that is stored in the fridge the initial feeling when you put this on your skin is nice and cool. When you start to spread this on your skin it warms up a little but not so much that it’s uncomfortable.
It’s a really soft clay like paste that spread very easily on the skin. It feels very soothing. It goes on a red/rosy colour and it dries into a red clay colour.
I like to wash my masks off in the shower to avoid any mess and I recommend washing this one off in the shower just because it feels so nice and creamy on the skin when you do.
After the mask is washed off my skin looks brighter and any redness has completely calmed down. The skin on my cheeks and nose can get very red so I love how soothing this mask is. It also felt deeply cleaned without drying out my skin. This mask isn’t drying on the skin but it isn’t hydrating either. I think this is why it would be great for all skin types.
My moisturiser and serum sunk into my skin much better after using this mask so this get’s a big thumbs up from me.
