Arbonne Face Primer, CC Cream & Mascara Review

I was contacted by a lovely Irish girl who lives in Australia too and asked if I heard of Arbonne. I’ll be honest and say that I hadn’t but once I checked out the site I was really interested in how they make their products as they claim to be be green and use botanically based ingredients. Now that I know a bit about the brand I’m noticing it everywhere!

I was kindly sent three products to try out; their Face Primer, CC cream and mascara. I was really excited to try them out because it’s their best selling products.

Arbonne Face Primer

Product Claims:

‘Every artist needs to prep their canvas. This luxurious makeup primer glides on to visually diminish the appearance of fine lines and pores, creating a smooth surface.’

My Thoughts:

Their face primer is amazing. I’ve seen this everywhere since trying it out and I can see why. I used it every single day since receiving it. It’s quite like the silicone texture that Smashbox Photofinsih has except I would say it’s thicker and it’s less greasy. Smashbox was my holy grail but since using this I’ve given Smashbox the boot!

It goes on smooth, it’s easy to blend and it feels lightweight and comfortable. It helps to smooth over blemishes and fine lines. It helps to fill some of my pores and acne scars but it doesn’t totally cover them but then again nothing really does.
If you like the Smashbox Photofinish you will LOVE this primer. 100% recommend!

Product Claims:
‘Skincare meets cosmetics to create a beautiful, healthier-looking complexion. Lightweight coverage builds to conceal blemishes and dark spots, and minimise the appearance of pores while botanicals soothe and hydrate. Our formula primes, mattifies and brightens, for more even-looking skin tone. Beauty and smarts — our CC Cream has it covered.’
My Thoughts:
I’ll be honest, I’m a full coverage kinda gal but I’ve been trying to change this in the last few months. Trying out this CC cream was the perfect opportunity to do that and I’ve been using it a lot in the last four/five weeks so that I could give you a well rounded opinion.

It smells really natural and earthy. It’s not at all overpowering and I don’t think the scent would bother many people.
It glides on easily and it’s very easy to blend for an even coverage. It’s a light product that doesn’t completely cover redness so I cover this with my concealer.
All my usual products including powders and concealer go on really nice over it. This is the perfect base for cream contouring as it’s not heavy so you’ll completely avoid the cakey look. The finished look is light and natural which I love. It feels hydrating on the skin.
This lasted about 2/3 hours on my skin without having the need to touch up with powder so it’s perfect for the weekend for a trip to the shops or for lunch. I won’t wear this everyday though because I prefer to have a foundation that’s really long lasting for work.
If you like to look natural but would like to even out your skin tone this will be a great product to try.

Product Claims:
‘Life is an epic tale – start telling it with your eyes. High-performance lengthening mascara helps create the look of ultra-dramatic lashes with major longitude. Clinically tested and formulated to be water-resistant and longwearing.’
My Thoughts:
I love the wand as it’s quite different in that the brush is flexible and bends. This is really handy because you can cover every single lash.

This mascara really lengthens my lashes and separates them nicely for a fanned out look. It gives a nice natural curl with dramatic length which I love.

I’ve included some pictures so you can see the difference with and without. As you can see the eye on the left has mascara and the eye on the right looks tiny without it.
