Carli Bybel Eyeshadow & Highlight Palette by BH Cosmetics

When my friends Carli Bybel palette arrived at work I knew that I just had to have it. It stud out for me because of all the beautiful highlights and warm tones. Jen from Jenuine blogger even chose it over her MAC stuff when she was going on holiday so I knew it had to be good.

Today, I’m gonna show you swatches of each of the shades, tell you what I think and show you some looks I created. This was only $25 AUD including shipping and it only took a week to arrive from the US! Unfortunately I still don’t look like Carli Bybel (lol) but these shadows and highlights look pretty damn amazing!
Product Claims:
Beauty expert and YouTube sensation Carli Bybel designed this versatile 14 Color Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette to dial up the drama and add excitement to your look. Carli’s taste for chic refinement and modern elegance inspired her to select a collection of earthy neutrals and plummy brown shadows with four face highlighters that complement every skin tone. The mix of mattes and shimmers makes it easy to go from amped-up evening intensity to toned-down daytime options.

My Thoughts:
So the palette is made up of 10 small powders and 4 large powders. The 10 small ones are eyeshadow, some of which could be used as highlighters. The 4 large ones are different highlight shades that could also be used as eyeshadows.

All of the powders are gorgeously pigmented and none of them feel powdery. They are all soft, buttery and really easy to work with. There’s something to suit everyone’s skin tones and tastes with the highlight shades. There’s a pink, a yellow, gold and a bronze. I personally love the first two and use the other two as eyeshadow.

There’s 4 matte eyeshadows and all the other shades are shimmery. It’s a colour palette that can take you from day to night with plum and green shades and copper and golden shades. I think they all complement each other and work well to create a big variety of looks.

The value for money with this palette is like no other! I got the MAC burgundy palette at the same time and although they have similar shades of eyeshadow, I reach for this palette much more than the MAC. I will do a review of MAC next week so that you can see the comparison.

The packaging itself is the hard cardboard kind but it has a mirror. The only complaint is that there’s no latch to keep it closed but considering I only paid $25 AUD including shipping I really don’t care about this.
