NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil Review & Swatches

Hi Girls,

Ever since Rosie Connolly from Hearts Heels and Handbags had the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil on I knew I had to collect them all. These Jumbo Eye Pencils can be used in a couple of ways so when you consider the price and how many ways they can be used, it’s easy to see you are getting a great deal.

Product Claims:

‘A radiant eye liner that also doubles as an eye shadow. Made with a blend of mineral oil and powder our creamy Jumbo Eye Pencils glide on effortlessly—no pulling tugging or fading—and come in a rainbow of vivid hues. Our most voluptuous pencil yet! Our Jumbo Eye Pencils can be sharpened with a sharpener that has an opening for a large pencil. Get your NYX sharpener.’

My Thoughts:

I have 5 colours which are Milk, Gold, French Fries, Purple and Dark Brown.

The first way they can be used is in your waterline. If there is one thing you need to do it’s put the shade Milk in your waterline. This makes your eyes pop like no other and to top it off it lasts ALL day long.

The second way to use is to use as an eyeshadow. These metallic shades are perfect for just popping all over the lid and because they are metallic they will automatically create shade in the crease. When you’re in a hurry or just want to do a simple eye look these will be your babies. They last hours without budging or creasing. My favourites for this are the shade French Fries and Gold.

The third way you can use these is to use them as an eyeshadow base. These make any eyeshadow pop with a deeper, more vivid and pigmented colour. They also last so much longer with a shadow over the top.

I love these pencils and I’m so happy to have them in my makeup collection. I’m dying to get my hands on the shade Rust but out of the colours I’ve tried I would have to recommend Milk and French Fries. Have you tried any of these?

  1. Fries looks lovely! I have milk, I’ve used it both as a base and for waterline. As a base I find it works good. For waterline it just doesn’t look right on me. The white is so bright, which is a good thing, but for some reason it looks odd on me. I’ll have to grab the fries shade! 🙂

    1. Ye I think milk is very bold but I love it especially with a brown smokey look for night time. They’ve a shade cottage cheese that’s a creamy colour and might suit you more x

    1. Thanks doll! Don’t usually do those because I get so many (not bragging) and my posts are planned in advance. Would love to support you in some other way. Do you have Facebook or Instagram? X
